Understanding Disability in Australia
Many people with disabilities depend on unqualified family or friends for support, who often help without payment and risk burnout. About 10.8% of Australians, or nearly 2.65 million people, serve as carers. Though laudable, this solution might not be viable long-term or offer the necessary assistance.
Consequently, the demand for support workers is on the rise, and continuous skill enhancement is essential. Employment trends reveal the increasing significance of training centres for disability support workers, offering exceptional career prospects for individuals truly passionate about the field.
