Australian Disability Landscape
In numerous cases, people with disabilities depend on untrained family or friends for support, who usually volunteer their services and face burnout. Approximately 10.8% of Australians, or 2.65 million individuals, function as carers. While praiseworthy, this arrangement can be unsustainable and may not meet specific needs.
Hence, the escalating demand for support workers makes constant skills development vital. Job trends highlight the increasing relevance of disability support worker training centres, which can yield fantastic career results for those sincerely invested in the area.
