Working in the Sydney Aged Care Industry

Independent living can mean a lot to a person. Not only can it help them feel as though they are still in control of their own life, but it may also offer various physical and psychological benefits. As an aged care worker, you can help those in your community to remain in the comfort of their own homes for as long as feasibly possible.

The population of Australians sixty-five and older has been rising over the past few years. From 2019 to 2020 alone, there were more than one million Australians availing care services. This includes nearly 840,000 individuals receiving home support via the Commonwealth Home Support Program, and close to 245,000 housed as permanent residents in aged care facilities.

The demand for support workers in our country is evident. After you graduate from Breakthru College, you will be able to join the hundreds of thousands of individuals working in areas such as the Commonwealth Home Support Program and the Residential Aged Care sector. Still, there are comparatively far fewer support workers than the number of ageing people requiring care.

There is a high demand for passionate workers like yourself. Are you ready to take on these opportunities?
