Mental Health in Australia

Close to half of all Australian adults, a figure around 7.3 million people, are expected to confront mental health struggles at some period in their lives. This can cause life to become more challenging than it has to be, and may result in circumstances like family conflicts, loss of work, self-injury, homelessness, and other physical health issues.

It’s clear that mental health services are in high demand. With the number of Australians needing mental health support and just over 62,000 mental health workers registered in Australia in 2020, we currently don’t have anywhere near the number of mental health care workers that we need. The good news is that you can be a part of the change and play a role in helping people better their lives from the inside out. Australia as a whole is looking for compassionate, dedicated people to work in the mental health sector, and here at breakthru College we’re proud to offer this opportunity.

The need for mental health care in Australia is quite evident. Considering that many Australians require mental health assistance and with just above 62,000 mental health care providers registered as of 2020, we’re presently lacking in the workforce needed to cater to this demand. the positive news is that you can join this field and make a significant difference in people’s lives. Australia is on the lookout for kind-hearted and devoted individuals to enter the mental health industry, and breakthru College is excited to provide this opening.
